Life is a maze with countless turns and outlets. As a counselor, I have the privilege of working with my clients as they navigate their own branching paths. I utilize reality therapy in my sessions, and borrow from existentialism to develop a complete understanding of a person’s motivations for the choices they make. Our work together will be focused on developing an understanding of you and your individual values, striving toward the ideal of complete self acceptance. This requires a brave effort to look at what defines you – the good, the bad, and the ugly – and from this thorough examination of self, there can come incredible change.
We live in an age of isolation, often separated from the humanity of real connection. My primary job is to break through this trend, to form a therapeutic relationship with genuine empathy as we explore your life and goals.
I have a background in education and mathematics, and in truth I’m a bit of a dork in my day-to-day. Dungeons & Dragons, walks in nature, and videogames are my usual hobbies. This certainly comes through in my practice, as I find the intersection of empathy and analysis with each of my clients.
